Job Description

Territory: South Korea.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals for POROS and CaptureSelect by maintaining growth and actively searching for new business opportunities within the territory.

  • Travel to customer sites for sales calls and presentations.

  • Work closely with applications counterparts to move sales from evaluation to close.

  • Introduce/seed POROS and CaptureSelect products in new processes in accounts while working closely with existing accounts to identify new opportunities.

  • Collaborate with customers and product management to forecast and communicate large order and shipment details.

  • Maintain and improve sales skills through technical and sales training.

  • Proactively update SalesForce and Business Plans.

  • Attend tradeshows, conferences, and read trade journals to learn about company products.

  • Collaborate with sales colleagues in the territory that represents Thermo’s other BioProduction products, including Gibco Cell Culture Products, Single Use Products, and PCR and Sequencing-based Analytics Products, to help grow Thermo’s overall Bioproduction business.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree (B.S, M.A, Ph.D., or equivalent experience) in Chemistry or a related field.

Experience within Bioproduction is preferred:

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the biopharmaceutical market required.

Business Insight:

  • Seek sales opportunities and provide innovative solutions to customer needs using effective strategies.

Other Knowledge:

  • Positive technical skills are needed to discuss and support chromatography resins for biopharmaceutical process development and manufacturing groups.

  • An ability to develop and maintain positive relationships by learning the background of the accounts and key customers, interpreting customers' needs, and providing solutions.

  • Positive analytical skills are essential to analyze territory sales data and technical information.

  • Requires the ability to perform independently and as part of a team.

  • Established sales history and relationships with the downstream process development.
