General Summary

The Integrated Pest Control Manager will be responsible for overseeing pest control operations and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. This role includes Technical Director responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Integrated Pest Management Policy insuring an environmentally friendly and effective plan.

  • Schedule technicians for preventative maintenance, follow ups and pest requests.

  • Respond and complete pest control work orders or preventive maintenance in accordance with the Integrated Pest Management Plan by Identifying target pest and treating, monitoring or trapping accordingly.

  • Troubleshoot Pest Control Issues and plan follow ups.

  • Maintain maintenance operations, ensure production is maintained, and supervise technicians to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.

  • Maintain pest control records.

  • Ensure daily compliance with all applicable government regulations, hospital requirements, NFPA, and joint commission standards.

  • Manage parts and materials needed for timely maintenance, coordinating requisitions with the Purchasing Department.

  • Complete necessary documentation and maintain work order logs and reports.

  • Conduct safety meetings, train on proper equipment usage, and inspect tools and work areas.

  • Conduct frequent quality control inspections and document corrective and preventative actions in support of the QC program.

  • Perform over-the-shoulder inspections and help maintain a safe work environment.

  • Maintain and repair pest control sprayers and equipment.

  • Identify new parts needed and coordinate requisitions with the Purchasing Department.

  • Order and inventory supplies.

  • Update and maintain Labels and SDS books.

  • Research and develop new innovative techniques and procedures according to new data and technology.

  • Prepare technical information reports on structural pest control which includes summarizing, analyzing, and reporting pest management inspection data.

  • Contact and supervise subcontractors as needed.

  • Develop thorough price estimates for projects.

  • Assist lead workers with communications between staff and customers.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Knowledge of pest managements techniques and state regulations.

  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and district policies.

  • Knowledge in Entomology, Identification and Pesticide Labels.

  • Must be thoroughly familiar with construction requirements, procedures and the elements that go into a complete bid.

  • Microsoft Database highly desired.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • May be needed after hours for emergency calls.

  • Possess a broad knowledge of facility operations and maintenance.

Work Experience

  • 5 years experience in the Pest Control field sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job and a minimum of 2 years’ experience supervising pest control operations and technician.

Education, Licenses and Certification Required:

  • High School Diploma

  • Certified Applicator License with the Texas dept of Agriculture in Structural Pest
