General Summary
Responsible for supervising work crews in Electrical, Fire Alarm & Extinguishing, Controls, and Facilities Systems Operations. May direct through lead employees in order to maximize productivity. Responsible for overseeing the work of J&J subcontractors that are working onsite.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plans, organizes and monitors the scheduling, completion and documentation of Preventative and Corrective Maintenance.
Supports and implements a comprehensive quality control plan for the J&J team and it’s sub-contractors
Communicates with customers to build positive long term relationships that effectively supports healthcare services and maintenance
Plans and implements training of staff in various subjects to include safety, NFPA requirements, Joint Commission Standards and general trade needs.
Promotes process improvement and ISO for the sustained delivery of excellence
Manages price estimates for all requests “New Work” projects, received from the customer, that are above and beyond the existing contract.
Serves as the subject matter expert for the work force to come to and receive guidance and direction.
Utilizes the assets of his staff to determine the best method to accomplish these projects and will create an accurate estimate for submission to the government representative.
Ensures that all building files, drawings, and maintenance records are kept up-to-date and maintained as required.
Leads the Union Work Force in a way to maximize their productivity, keeping them informed of all requirements and fully utilize the collected talent.
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements
3 Years experience
OSHA 30 hour general industry preferred.
Experience with a Facility Computerized Maintenance Management System software (CMMS) highly desired
NICET IV Certification NAC/LAC
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Possess a broad knowledge of facility operations and maintenance
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Experience
A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
Education, Licenses and Certification Required:
High School Diploma
NICET IV Certification
NAC/LAC
