Robert Half Project Management Consultant in Ft Lauderdale, Florida
Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Project Management Consultant in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. This role is positioned within the construction industry and demands a detail-oriented individual who can ensure compliance with budget, scheduling, and safety goals. The Project Management Consultant will be deeply involved in supporting construction work performed by contractors and vendors at various project sites across the contiguous United States.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee project activities and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and local community officials
• Ensure proper allocation of resources, assess field status, and troubleshoot issues as necessary
• Validate the acceptance of completed work to design requirements and review contractor payment requests
• Monitor safety procedure compliance, lessons learned, corrective action, and appropriate work behaviors for employees and contractor staff
• Assist in scope control, budget oversight, resolution of technical problems, performance reporting, and scheduling of work-in-progress
• Coordinate activities or groups such as safety programs, engineering, construction, budget analytics, and contract administration
• Interface with landowners, local regulators, and state agencies as required
• Assess productivity schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance on assigned projects
• Participate in walk-downs of planned work and verify constructability
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Requirements • Demonstrable proficiency in Reporting and Analytics
• Familiarity with Compliance and Payment Processing
• Experience in managing Budget Processes
• Understanding of Quality and Scheduling within project management
• Proven skills in Vendor and Progress management
• Ability to increase Productivity within the team
• Engineering background or understanding preferred
• Willingness to Travel as required by the project
• Experience in Construction project management preferred
• Ability to work with Suppliers to ensure timely delivery
• Experience in ensuring Compliance across projects
• Ability to provide Oversight and manage Technical Issues
• Understanding of Commission Functions and Expense Account management
• Ability to develop and implement Validation Plans
• Experience in Corrective Action implementation
• Proficiency in Contract Administration
• Cybersecurity knowledge is a plus
• Ability to manage Interfaces within the project
