About You and This Role:

You are a self-starter who can identify, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks. You will serve as a vital resource for NA Performance Packaging & Specialty Plastics R&D Pilot plants by utilizing process knowledge, technical expertise and operations experience to ensure work and repairs in the facilities and pilot plants are carried out safely and proficiently. In this role, you will work with Site and Contract resource/s with knowledge of equipment function, repair techniques, and maintenance best practices to enhance reliability and performance capability of the pilot plant facilities and plant system operations. You will work with the pilot plant team and block tenants to coordinate, prioritize, and schedule both plant and maintenance activities as well as ensure that turnaround, improvement, and repair projects for the pilot plant areas are coordinated and executed in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Operations team to identify facility and pilot plant system operations requiring repair or improvement.

  • Utilizes Plant, Division, and Contract networks to schedule necessary resources to complete work and repairs identified in the facilities and pilot plants.

  • Generates work requests for all identified maintenance activity.

  • Reviews plans, preparations, and safety intentions of resources assigned to complete work and repairs identified in the facilities and pilot plants.

  • Determine if procedures and plans for new service requests are aligned.

  • Review work status with service providers and work originators.

  • Confirms that all scheduled work has been completed to expectations and policies, including paperwork, and closes work order.

  • Reports daily work scheduled and progress to plant staff to inform and enable adjustments as needed.

  • Works closely with the engineering team to support facility and process improvement and capital project activity.

  • Work with pilot plant team to ensure start-up and shut-down tasks align with facilities and plant operations activities.

  • Creates, develops, changes and updates maintenance procedures and checklists, and initiates procedure MOC’s, as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a high school diploma/GED or equivalent

  • A minimum of five years of process, maintenance, or operations experience in the chemical, manufacturing or related industries required.

  • Must have the ability to work overtime as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Physical Requirements(with or without reasonable accommodations):

  • Stand or walk for extended periods of time.

  • Bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Complete job tasks wearing safety equipment such as gloves, goggles, and ear plugs.

Preferred Skills:

  • Associates degree or higher.

  • Proficiency using SAP.

  • Solution or High Pressure Polyethylene process experience preferred.

  • Experience in the understanding of the flow of maintenance work in various crafts.
