Honeywell Machine Setup Operator - 2nd Shift in Freeport, Illinois

As a Machine Setup Operator Level 2 here at Honeywell Industrial Automation, you will play a critical role in setting up and operating machinery to ensure efficient production processes. Leveraging your technical skills and expertise, you will be responsible for performing machine setups, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will contribute to the overall success of our production operations and customer satisfaction.

You will report directly to our Production Supervisor and you'll work out of our Freeport, Illinois location.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our production processes, ensuring that our products are manufactured to meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Your contributions will directly contribute to the success of our customers and the growth of our business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate assigned equipment.

  • Perform a variety of Machine Injection and Compression Press processes which will result in electrical safety products.

  • Hand trim parts and at times, measurement gages to verify or discern the quality of product being produced on automatic/manual equipment.

  • Mold Components into finished products.

  • Support the Honeywell Operating System.

  • Maintain work area for operation and cleanliness.

  • Comply with all safety rules.

  • Record and report production data.

  • Analyze data and production reports.

  • Set up and change over equipment.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • 2+ years of experience as a machine setup operator or similar role

  • Ability to life 50+ pounds on a regular basis

  • Strong technical skills and ability to operate machinery and equipment

  • Knowledge of machine setup procedures and troubleshooting techniques

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
