DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

  • As part of this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of skilled automotive and diesel mechanics who are licensed and trained. They will be performing a wide range of tasks including analysis, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a fleet of construction equipment, trucks, automobiles, and hand tools. The equipment in question is powered by either gasoline or diesel engines. You will provide hands-on guidance and direction to ensure the proper repair and maintenance of hydraulic, electrical, heating, cooling, and exhaust systems, as well as manual and automatic transmissions. Additionally, you will supervise the mechanics who conduct state vehicle inspections, and you will also be responsible for overseeing the completion of work orders, tracking time spent on repairs, and reporting any equipment accidents or damages.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Dual shifts, overtime, and travel may be required. Work hours subject to seasonal change.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Four years of journey level mechanical experience in the diagnosis and repair of automobiles, heavy trucks, or construction equipment; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

  • This position requires possession of a Pennsylvania Class B or Class A Commercial Driver's License.
  • This position requires possession of an active Class 7 Pennsylvania Inspection Mechanic Certification.
  • This position requires possession of an active CFC-12 Refrigerant Recycling Certificate, a 134A Refrigerant Recycling Certificate, or a Compressed Natural Gas Certificate.
  • This position requires one year of experience or training in the repair or maintenance of diesel engines.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
