Total Security Solutions Construction Estimator in Fowlerville, Michigan

The Construction Estimator is responsible for providing accurate pricing, while keeping up to date on current pricing trends and implementing process efficiencies with the intent to contribute to a team while helping to achieve established and robust sales goals. This position is responsible for providing superior quality and service while maintaining the company’s high standards when interacting with customers, employees, partners, and vendors.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide estimating of project materials and project pricing for specific projects                  

  • Identify project materials component issues relating to customer requests                           

  • Provide component expertise and sales support on projects                        

  • Assist with the implementation of new product launches for product pricing                        

  • Assist the development of consistent pricing and best pricing practices                   

  • Reduce the need for sales resources in the estimation process to increase sales time                       

  • Identify and document key pricing trends                             

  • Identify and document price guides for common project components                     

  • Identify and implement estimation process efficiencies to reduce proposal development lead time           

  • Maintain up to date product pricing                        

  • Create scalable estimating processes as a company best practice                               

  • Maintain pricing documentation to insure most current pricing in all TSS documents                        

  • Maintain technical accuracy of components in all TSS documents                              

  • Assist with project/component documentation for new products                              

  • Capture pricing trends and elasticity by regions                 

  • Streamline estimating   

  • Minimize estimating errors

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of construction experience 

  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, prioritization, and organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and phone skills

  • Detail-oriented and able to focus on multiple tasks at one time

  • Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new systems

  • Proficient with Google Apps, Conga and Salesforce CRM preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Communicate with others and exchange accurate information.

  • Operate a computer and other office machinery or equipment.

  • Ability to move about inside the office to access file cabinets or office machinery.

Work Environment:

  • This job takes place in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.  Office employees are required to wear safety glasses, safety shoes, and a highly visible vest at all times in production areas and labs
