Bell is seeking an Industrial Wastewater Supervisor to support our Environmental Compliance program at the Bell headquarters in Fort Worth, TX.The Industrial Wastewater Supervisor will coordinate operations of wastewater treatment plant operations to enhance compliance and process efficiency.

What you’ll be doing as an Industrial Wastewater Supervisor

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of industrial wastewater treatment plant operators.

  • Assign, manage, and direct the daily activities of up to 25 union covered employees.

  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industrial discharge permit requirements.

  • Monitor and optimize water treatment processes to maintain water quality standards.

  • Develop and implement operational procedures and protocols to improve efficiency and safety.

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of treatment facilities to identify and address maintenance and repair needs.

  • Train and mentor staff on proper operating procedures and safety protocols.

  • Prepare reports and documentation related to plant operations, compliance, and maintenance activities.

  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies, engineers, and other stakeholders to address compliance and operational issues.

  • Participate in emergency response and contingency planning for wastewater treatment facility operations.

Qualifications

Skills You Bring To this Role

  • Demonstrated project management skills.

  • Ability to organize, structure, and assess historical data for trending, risk identification, risk mitigation, and concern investigations.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, SCADA, and critical wastewater monitoring equipment.

  • Interpersonal communication skill in working with individuals at all levels within and outside the department, including conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.

  • Organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize and coordinate work as needed.

What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Public Health, or similar technical discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Certifications or pursuit of industry recognized certifications in the Safety, Health, or Environmental disciplines. (OSHA, TCEQ, Class B Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator..ect)

  • Six Sigma certification preferred.

  • Confined Space certification preferred

  • Experience using typical Industrial Hygiene instrumentation, e.g., sound level meter, PID, 4-channel gas analyzer, personal sample pumps.

  • Possess knowledge of applicable regulations and consensus standards for occupational health and safety including OSHA, NFPA.

  • Knowledge and experience in identification, evaluation, and control of hazards associated with chemical handling and storage.
