Job Title: Quality Control Manager (Construction)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee the quality and safety of our construction projects. The successful candidate will develop and implement quality control procedures, conduct inspections, and collaborate with project teams to maintain high standards.
Responsibilities:
Ensure onsite work is completed safely, with quality, and productively.
Implement the 3 Phases of Quality Control per USACE QCM Requirements.
Adhere to USACE EM385-1-1 Safety Standards.
Develop and implement quality control procedures for construction projects.
Review Submittals and coordinate with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager.
Conduct quality inspections and audits to identify deficiencies.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Oversee corrective action plans for non-conformities.
Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Facilitate training programs on quality control procedures.
Maintain documentation related to quality control processes.
Conduct root cause analysis and identify process improvement opportunities.
Stay updated with industry trends, codes, and regulations.
Manage weekly QC Meetings with clients and daily safety meetings with subcontractors.
Review subcontractor Activity Hazard Analysis before starting work.
Essential Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or management.
Proficient in NAVFAC eCMS Management Software.
Knowledge of Procore Project Management Software is a plus.
Understanding of Quality Control Manager requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
OSHA 30-hour Certification, CPR, 1st Aid Training, USACE EM385-1-1 40 Hour Certification, and USACE Quality Control Management Certification are required.
Knowledge of construction-related technologies and quality auditing.
Ability to read and understand engineering design drawings and specifications.
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in construction quality management.
Strong ability to read and interpret project design documents.
Knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and standards.
Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Work Environment:
Daily onsite management at Naval Station Great Lakes.
Frequent coordination with project teams and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
