Description
We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an entry level Accountant in a city in Indiana. As a Staff Accountant, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities, including the processing of customer applications, maintaining customer records, and addressing customer inquiries. Additionally, you will be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary action.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks
• Process customer credit applications with precision
• Perform Bank Reconciliations regularly
• Maintain and update General Ledger as necessary
• Prepare and record Journal Entries
• Conduct Month End Close procedures
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Resolve customer inquiries timely and professionally
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Utilize Excel and Great Plains Accounting to manage and analyze data.
Requirements
• Possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processing and management.
• Demonstrate strong skills in handling Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Have experience in performing Bank Reconciliations.
• Be well-versed with General Ledger maintenance and management.
• Show competency in recording and maintaining Journal Entries.
• Be able to handle Month End Close procedures efficiently.
• Have advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Excel.
• Be familiar with Great Plains Accounting software.
