Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Associate-Level Support Technical Publication Editor to support the Product Technical Publications authoring at Fort Walton Beach, FL.
The ideal candidate will participate in the revision of technical publications, documentation, and related data. You will gather and assist with analyzing customer requirements to understand scope and required elements. In addition, you will contribute to the team by reviewing technical support publications for grammatical errors, format and style per guidelines.
As a team member, you will participate in researching source data to verify support publications are technically accurate and participate in managing data used in the publishing process. This position will also support filing source documentation and maintaining document control.
Position Responsibilities:
Writes and maintains technical documentation for operating, testing, inspecting and maintaining aircraft systems and/or components.
Develops multiple publication elements for all levels of maintenance for a fielded equipment minor system or multiple sub systems.
Participates in researching source data to verify support publications are technically accurate.
Reviews content for grammatical errors, format and style per guidelines.
Edits content to improve clarity, impact, flow, meaning, and readability.
Participates in managing data used in the publishing process.
Supports filing source documentation and maintaining document control.
May be asked to support other programs or perform other duties as needed.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience (3+ years related work experience).
3+ years with Military Aircraft maintenance.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat).
Experience in a role that required strong attention to detail.
Self-starter with strong time management skills to effectively work to and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with interpreting engineering documentation (including drawings and specifications).
3+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
Avionics Flight-line
Hydro-Mechanical Flight-line
Aircraft Wiring
Aircraft Support Equipment/Air Vehicle Components
Military Aircraft Training Device

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $63,750 - $86,250
