DESCRIPTION:
As a Project Engineer at Tutor Perini Building Corp., reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
Review all types of submittals for compliance to contract documents
Coordinate all submittals between trades & ensure submittals are processed to support the project schedule
Understand drawings/specs for all trades & disciplines
Perform constructability & coordination reviews of contract documents and manage the RFI process for changes
Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interference, and errors
Attend meetings with other contractors, clients, or A/E representatives to coordinate design and construction efforts
Assist Project Manager with scope gaps resolution
Develops procurement log and tracks progress to ensure compliance with project schedule
Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as status reports and punch lists
Establish and complete project closeout procedure per contract requirements
Understand and comply with company’s safety program and remedial safety procedures
Oversee Quantity Take-off’s as project requires
Inspect construction site daily and work with contractors to schedule deliveries
Verify that all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings and specifications
Proactively monitor, follow-up and initiate corrective actions with architects & engineers of record
Run effective meetings, set agenda & establish action items.Take accurate notes & issue in a timely manner
Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with the owner, authority having jurisdiction, & design team
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field
Two or more years of commercial construction experience
General Contractor work experience on a project exceeding $50 million
Proficient with MSOffice Suite, Bluebeam Revu,Procore or equal software
Experienced in plan reading, construction scheduling
Previous experience as a field engineer or project engineer on commercial construction projects is preferred
