DESCRIPTION:

As a Project Engineer at Tutor Perini Building Corp., reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Review all types of submittals for compliance to contract documents

  • Coordinate all submittals between trades & ensure submittals are processed to support the project schedule

  • Understand drawings/specs for all trades & disciplines

  • Perform constructability & coordination reviews of contract documents and manage the RFI process for changes

  • Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interference, and errors

  • Attend meetings with other contractors, clients, or A/E representatives to coordinate design and construction efforts

  • Assist Project Manager with scope gaps resolution

  • Develops procurement log and tracks progress to ensure compliance with project schedule

  • Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as status reports and punch lists

  • Establish and complete project closeout procedure per contract requirements

  • Understand and comply with company’s safety program and remedial safety procedures

  • Oversee Quantity Take-off’s as project requires

  • Inspect construction site daily and work with contractors to schedule deliveries

  • Verify that all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings and specifications

  • Proactively monitor, follow-up and initiate corrective actions with architects & engineers of record

  • Run effective meetings, set agenda & establish action items.Take accurate notes & issue in a timely manner

  • Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with the owner, authority having jurisdiction, & design team

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field

  • Two or more years of commercial construction experience

  • General Contractor work experience on a project exceeding $50 million

  • Proficient with MSOffice Suite, Bluebeam Revu,Procore or equal software

  • Experienced in plan reading, construction scheduling

  • Previous experience as a field engineer or project engineer on commercial construction projects is preferred
