U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Logistics Management Specialist in Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia
Summary About the Position: Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist utilizing senior level skills and knowledge of Army Sustainment policy, procedures, automated sustainment information systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Responsibilities Prepare, review, update, validate and revalidate capability development documentation for sustainment Information systems and agile Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) development. Develop concept statements for existing and emerging Army sustainment Information Systems and communications support requirements in accordance with the DoD Business Systems (DBS) process. Develop and integrate conceptual, doctrinal and training products involving logistics automation and ERP Business System requirements and capabilities for sustainment of the Army at the tactical, operational and strategic leve Serve as integrated product team member on the Sustainment Information Systems Test and Evaluation working groups to design and organize testing process. Perform review and analysis of sustainment systems to evaluate automation performance and effectiveness and to determine the appropriate direction for future business system initiatives. Develop plans for accomplishment of assigned tasks and projects to meet priorities, deadlines, objectives and goal established by higher echelons of management Coordinate with and represent both the field user/system stakeholders and the functional commandants, in developing strategy and milestones for the future direction of sustainment information systems and ERP initiatives. Review and analyze Sustainment Information Systems and ERP Business Systems automated systems to provide test case scenarios. Preparing and presenting briefings to the CASCOM staff and higher agencies at all levels of TRADOC, HQ DA, and DOD. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience such as writing requirements documents, reviewing, analyzing, developing, training, or evaluating performance and effectiveness of automated information systems, working on special projects that may have a significant impact on the future direction of sustainment automation, resolving procedural issues and identifying productivity improvements in the development of automated information systems area pertaining to joint service activities at the tactical and operational levels. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Planning and Evaluating Teamwork Technical Competence Writing Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--NO substitution of education for experience is permitted.
