Akima NANA Shareholder College Summer Intern – General Clerk in Fort Carson, Colorado
AFO is looking for a NANA Shareholder Intern for our summer program.
The General Clerk follows clearly detailed procedures in performing simple repetitive tasks in the same sequence. Responsibilities would include receiving, scanning, filing, and managing documents in both in manual form and as electronic data files. Operates office equipment, (e.g., computer, printer, copier, scanner, fax, and shredder.) This position uses some subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps varying in nature and sequence. The General Clerk selects from alternative methods and refers problems not solvable by adapting or interpreting substantive guides, manuals, or procedures. Typical duties include assisting in a variety of clerical matters; maintaining a wide variety of financial or other records (stored both manually and electronically); verifying statistical reports for accuracy and completeness; compiling information; and handling and adjusting complaints.
NOTE: To be considered for this position, you must be a NANA Shareholder and own stock in “NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.” You must currently be enrolled in college or technical/vocational school.

Responsibilities
Provides customer assistance for employees with minor administrative problems and office administrative tasks
Responsible for assisting Human Resources and Quality Department in day-to-day processes
Uses some subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps that vary in nature and sequence
Selects from alternative guides, manuals, or procedure items that require turn in
Assists in a variety of administrative matters
Maintains a wide variety of transaction records
Verifies reports for accuracy, completeness, handling, and adjusts spreadsheets as required
Develops and recommends training or other programs to enhance operations
Conducts training for new hire orientation mandatory training for HR and Security when required
Provides input and develops/updates presentation slides for management review
Uses technical writing skills to prepare reports and other documents and correspondence as directed
Files, scans, and faxes
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be a NANA Shareholder and own stock in “NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.” and/or direct descendant of a NANA Shareholder
Must currently be enrolled in college or technical/vocational school
Knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
