Troon Golf, LLC is offering full-time temporary employment from 04/01/2025 through 10/31/2025. We seek nine (9) temporary full-time Line Cook I workers at Pine Canyon Club in Flagstaff, Arizona.

The duties of this temporary position are as follows: Maintains high quality standards of food production to ensure member/guest satisfaction; Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces to ensure safe and sanitary food handling practices; Season and cook food according to recipes; Bake, roast, broil and steam meats, fish, vegetables and other foods. Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of refrigerators, ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items and rotating stock.Prepare, season and cook soups, meats, vegetables, fruits, desserts and other miscellaneous food for consumption; Observe recipe guidelines and sanitation procedures.

There are no minimum education requirements for the position. Applicant must present a professional demeanor and appearance and be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to perform all methods of cookery, portion control, plating and garnishing all dishes in accordance to our standards. One (1) year of culinary experience in a fine dining or high volume environment at a high end restaurant, resort or private club required. The requirements are normal requirements and apply to all similarly situated employees at the company; are not less favorable to any group of workers; are required for all employees regardless of immigration status; and are not less than the minimum terms and conditions required by regulation as the program meets those requirements outlined in 20 C.F.R. 655.22(a). Therefore, Troon is abiding by the minimum terms and conditions of employment as required by regulation.

Pine Canyon Club owns and operates 3 restaurants at the resort and workers may be placed at any of the 3 restaurants depending on needs. Full-time employment will be at least 35 hours per week. Shift schedule may vary. Shifts may vary 5, 8, or 10 hours depending on needs between the hours of 6:30 am and 9:30 pm 6x/week. Workers will receive one unpaid 30 minute meal break for every 8 hour shift. Workers will receive one unpaid 30 minute meal break and one 15 minute paid break for every 10 hour shift. Day off may vary. Overtime may be available (not guaranteed). Any overtime will be paid at 1.5 times the rate of pay. The rate of pay is \$21 per hour. Any hours worked over 40 hours per week will be considered \"overtime\" and will be paid at the rate of \$31.50 per hour.

On-the-job training to be provided at no cost to worker. The Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due and workers will be paid on a bi-weekly basis. Employer will make optional housing available. The Employer will provide transportation to/from the optional employer-offered housing to the worksite, with cost covered by the Employer. The Employer will make all deductions from worker\'s pay statements as required by law. Additional deductions may include shared housing fee of \$100 per pay period (\$200 per month). A security deposit of \$150 will be deducted over three pay periods (\$50 per pay period). Housing facilities mentioned are optional and not required.

If the Worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the Employer will provide or reimburse the Worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. If the Worker completes the employment period or is dismissed earlier, the Employer will provide or pay for Worker\'s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to t e place the Worker originally departed to work, except where the Worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the Employer has appropriately reported a Worker\'s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least \$15.88/day during travel to a maximum of \$59.00/day with receipts. If applicable, the Employer will reimburse Workers in the first workweek for visa processing, border crossing and related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). The Employer will provide Workers, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. If an item is lost, the worker will be required to pay the replacement cost. The Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least 3/4 of the workdays in each 12-week work period of total employment period. The offer to U.S. workers is the same as H-2B workers.
