    About This Opportunity:

    T he Young Adult Advisory Board members will meet once a month for 3 hours with the YAAB facilitator over zoom to build an inclusive space where members engage in meaningful discussions about and provide input on the Shannon Programmatic activities, policies and strategies of the Tri-City Partnership and the Fitchburg, Gardner and Leominster communities.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Be open to sharing your personal experiences (To your own comfort level) to help support and advocate for other young adults in Fitchburg, Gardner and Leominster communities

  • Share information regarding organizations / events that support young adults in Fitchburg, Gardner and Leominster communities or nationally

  • Receive information from community partners about their programs, policies, and practices

  • Provide input on partner programs and policies (what is working/opportunities to enhance Shannon programming)

  • Share experiences in Shannon or similar programs, as applicable,(e.g., experiences of stigma, discrimination, trust and cultural responsivity)

  • Provide Recommendations on how to address areas of improvement and bolster existing strengths of Shannon Programs

  • Provide insight regarding how the Tri-City Partnership can cultivate relationships with young people in the Fitchburg, Gardner, and Leominster Communities

  • Communicate about and provide recommendations regarding important issues affecting young people in Fitchburg, Gardner and Leominster schools and communities

    Required Qualifications:

  • Young adult 18-24 years of age

  • Current or past experience living in or staying in Fitchburg, Gardner and Leominster areas

  • Able to communicate in English

  • Some experience is using computer based tools (word, Email,. Zoom etc.)

  • Comfortable engaging with other young adults

  • Open To working in a group setting

  • Access to electronics device for zoom

  • Bilingual preferred but nor required

  • Participated in the Tri-City Partnership's Shannon funded programming a plus but not required
