How you’ll shape the future of the Machines Department:

  • Develop to strategic objectives for improving key performance indicators such as safety, quality, production, reliability.

  • Translate strategic plans into actionable events and measure the results of the strategic efforts with scorecards to generate immediate feedback and timely course corrections.

  • Recruit, train, and develop a team of hourly operations personnel.

  • Lead the reliability team for the machine area to ensure the safe, effective and efficient operation of equipment.

  • Ensure safety of the area including accident analysis and reporting.

  • Develop and maintain operating standards.

  • Ensure timely review of all operating information and resolve unfavorable trends. Understand daily operating costs and control strategies.

  • Lead timely review of all mechanical failures to include performing root cause analysis.

You’ll be someone who can bring:

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience

  • 5 to 10 years minimum experience in manufacturing or engineering.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a production environment

  • Extensive operations and troubleshooting knowledge, equipment operation, and maintenance of pulp machinery.
