The Administrative Assistant is responsible for administrative support to the fundraising and external relations staff and directors. The assistant is the point of contact for visitors to the Deans suite, assists guests, and participates in fundraising activities including donor relations, mailings, and special events. The assistant is responsible for researching and preparing special reports, examining and verifying documents, updating the database, managing swag, and performing general office duties. The assistant manages all travel arrangements, receipts and claims on behalf of the department and creates donor bios and leave-behind packets for each trip. The assistant is responsible for weekly donor acknowledgment letters to be signed by the dean and/or director of development. The assistant provides backup administrative support to the dean of the law school as needed. However, licenses/certifications are not necessary; this position requires training in multiple areas in order to perform all tasks.\ \ Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a college degree

  • At least two years of experience in a specialized or related field applicable to work performed

\ Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

- - Knowledge of the work-related subject area

- Knowledge of record keeping procedures and professional office policies and procedures - Knowledge of the principles and practices of mathematics and statistics - Knowledge of work-related subject area - Knowledge of computers and software applications - Knowledge in general instructing, scheduling, and reviewing work of others - Excellent oral and written communication skills that pertain to controversial, confidential and complex topics - Ability to conduct research and compile data into report form - Ability to establish and maintain filing systems - Ability to operate standard office equipment - Ability to analyze documents to determine compliance with rules, regulations, and procedures - Ability to communicate both orally and in writing - Ability to make decisions and experience in problem-solving - Ability to multitask and project manage - Ability to be punctual and dependable Salary Information: \$38,361 \$42,746 - Required Documents to Apply: Cover Letter/Letter of Application, List of three Professional References (name, email, business title), Resume Optional Documents: Proof of Veteran Status
