Insight Global Senior Pre Construction Manager in Falls Church, Virginia
Job Description
This position is willing to pay between $130-$150K depending on experience and qualifications.
A Senior Preconstruction Manager is responsible for leading and managing multiple projects working with a team of preconstruction managers, and shared team resources to deliver exceptional deliverables to our clients. In his/her duty they will be responsible for the day to day execution to provide preconstruction services from initial program design phase until final construction documents are complete for assigned projects. This may include feasibility studies, budget estimates from conceptual design to final bidding, comparative studies, value engineering and presentation of the same to both internal and external clients. As a leader, a senior preconstruction manager should lead by example.
Direction, Supervision & Authority:
This position typically reports to the Vice President of Preconstruction or Preconstruction Executive
This position directly supervises preconstruction managers, assistant managers and project engineers
Provide complete services to our Clients and Operations teams described above with minimal oversight
Senior Preconstruction Managers will lead multiple project teams in all aspects of bid and budget deliverables
This position will participate in the hiring and termination process
Software Proficiency:
Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
On Screen Take-off (OST).
Adobe products, including Bluebeam.
Client and Team Resource: Positively promote preconstruction advantages to clients and design teams.
Preconstruction Services: Provide complete services to clients and operations team with minimal oversight.
Pricing Proposals: Prepare and analyze proposals considering market conditions, historical data, material escalation, internal estimates, and subcontractor input.
Project Management: Manage design and preconstruction phase with all stakeholders to transition into the construction phase.
Presentations and Interviews: Prepare strategically for client presentations and interviews.
Building Systems Knowledge: Fully understand building systems and cost control opportunities.
Construction Drawings: Understand and identify missing elements in construction drawings and specifications.
Project Scheduling: Understand project scheduling (P6), phasing, and logistical planning.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication.
Geotechnical Reports: Understand geotechnical reports.
Building Code and LEED: Understand Building Code and LEED requirements.

Skills and Requirements
Education/ Years of Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field, preferred
At least (7) years of related commercial construction work experience
Has been the lead preconstruction manager on several projects
Has led others as team leader and has worked to develop and coach others
Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
