Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Fairfield, California. As an integral part of our team, you will be primarily focused on managing financial transactions, maintaining detailed records, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all related processes.
Responsibilities
• Efficiently handle accounts receivable, including tracking payments and managing billing processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable invoices and payments.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.
• Collaborate with various departments to guarantee efficient and accurate financial transactions.
• Contribute to the preparation and review of financial reports for the management team.
• Actively participate in monthly closing processes.
• Assist in year-end audits as needed.
• Manage vendor statement reconciliation, research discrepancies, and respond to inquiries.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in all interactions.
• Use Microsoft Excel effectively to perform job duties.
• Apply strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Cash Applications, Cash Collections, and Commercial Collections in daily tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a role as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or similar.
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) management is essential.
• Demonstrable experience in Billing and Cash Applications.
• Familiarity with Cash Collections procedures and practices.
• Prior experience in Commercial Collections is highly desirable.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to handle complex calculations and data analysis.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
• Strong communication skills to handle customer queries and discrepancies.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good problem-solving abilities for handling any issues with customer payments.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
