Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavior Operations Supervisor to oversee and support the care of consumer participants with high behavioral acuities. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and clinical knowledge to ensure compliance with all regulations while fostering a safe, structured, and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with direct care staff, clinical teams, and external agencies to implement behavioral strategies, provide training, and monitor operational and clinical duties.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Duties:
Provide supervision to direct care staff serving individuals with high behavioral acuities.
Develop open and professional communication between all staff, families and guardians.
Train and orient Direct Care Staff, DSPs, and BDPS on operational and behavioral procedures.
Monitor daily operational assignments and supervise Direct Care Staff to ensure proper completion of tasks.
Oversee community-based activities to ensure they meet Fee-for-Service (FFS) requirements and align with participants' assessed needs and interests.
Prepare for and participate in Individualized Service Plan (ISP) meetings, developing and supervising goal implementation.
Monitor and document ISP strategies, ensuring proper tracking and execution.
Administer, document, and sort medications as required.
Fully cooperate with any agency, DDD, DHS, QA, or other inspections, inquiries, or investigations.
Ensure compliance with DDD and DHS regulations, maintaining verification standards in the Day Program.
Operate multi-passenger vehicles to transport consumer participants as needed.
Behavioral Duties:
Ensure all required authorizations for agency-approved PRT (Physical Restraint Techniques) are obtained and documented.
Supervise Direct Care Staff in the implementation of Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), contracts, protocols, and other interventions developed by the Behavior Specialist.
Provide primary directives and supervision of behavioral interventions in the absence of the Program Director.
Oversee reinforcement exchange as part of Token Economy, BSP, or contracts, ensuring adequate resources are available.
Conduct ongoing behavioral training for Direct Care Staff under the direction of the Behavior Specialist.
Attend clinical meetings and actively participate in behavior tracking, plan development, and strategic reviews.
Assist with behavioral observations, data collection, and assessments as assigned.
Ensure timely completion and submission of all behavioral documentation, reporting deficiencies and addressing data inconsistencies.
Generate behavioral data reports, including graphs, reports for psychiatry appointments, IDTs, ISPs, and behavior progress notes.
Model and coach de-escalation techniques using behavior plans and safety procedures.
Safely and effectively perform PRT in crisis situations, ensuring a secure environment.
Conduct integrity checks and report results.
Assist behavioral teams with Functional Assessments (FA), Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), and preference assessments.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field preferred.
RBT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a Day Program or Special Needs Services
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities and mental health/behavioral challenges.
Strong understanding of behavioral intervention strategies, crisis management, and de-escalation techniques.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interactions with all levels of staff, families, guardians, consumer participants, and external agencies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Therap.
Experience in behavioral health programs or ABA therapy.
Strong knowledge of DDD/DHS compliance standards.
Advanced experience in behavioral data tracking and analysis.
Exceptional time management and team development skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no more than three suspensions or points in the past three years).
Physical ability to perform job tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking.
