GE Aerospace Test Systems Engineering Facilities Project Manager in Evendale, Ohio

Job Description Summary

The Test Systems Engineering (TSE) Facilities Project Manager will be the focal point for all TSE project-related items and facilities processes. You will provide facilities project management support to the engine and component test systems operations across the Evendale Campus, working closely with the maintenance supervisor to staff and manage union labor for projects.

We are specifically looking for candidates with strong industrial project management experience and a background in working with union labor.

The GE Evendale campus is the headquarters site for GE Aerospace. Site activities include large parts manufacturing, engine assembly, component, and engine test operations, as well as engineering, development, and lab facilities for both commercial and military customers. The 415-acre site includes 100 acres under roof. Over 6,000 employees work onsite and includes a Union shop represented by the UAW, IAM, and IGUA.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, engineering, and troubleshooting of site projects across all disciplines, leveraging industrial project management expertise.

  • Collaborate with the maintenance supervisor to staff projects with appropriate union labor and manage workforce effectively.

  • Assist in creation and maintenance of Project Management Processes

  • Lead projects through schematic, design engineering, financials, bidding, construction, and project closeout.

  • Manage project financials and schedules.

  • Manage projects using outside vendors and internal unions to execute projects.

  • Partner with business leadership and cross-functional teams to develop new solutions to meet business needs.

  • Order materials needed for project work.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Industrial Project Management, Facilities, or Construction Management)

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Industrial Project Management, with a focus on manufacturing or testing environments

  • Demonstrated success in managing complex industrial projects from inception to completion.

Desired Characteristics and experience:

  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards and regulations

  • Ability to build strong working relationships with maintenance supervisors and union representatives.

  • Proven track record of effectively managing time, prioritizing work, and multi-tasking across many assignments in a fast-paced industrial environment.

  • Extensive mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial setting

  • Experience working in a unionized environment.

  • Strong ability to influence others and lead teams in an industrial context.

  • Effective problem identification and solution skills, particularly for industrial challenges

  • Proven analytical and organizational ability in managing industrial projects.

  • Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn
