Job Description Summary
Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. This role will lead all digital aspects for an advanced program. The systems engineer will be expected to work with internal and external stakeholders to define the modelling approach and create standard work for developing, using, interfacing, and controlling the models.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Perform model-based systems design and simulation to evaluate alternate architectures and to automate validation and verification activities
Develop system models in accordance with applicable internal and external guidelines, standard work, and modeling standards/requirements
Perform system engineering and provide technical / project leadership on Research & Development and New Product Introduction programs
Allocate system functional requirements into efficient software and firmware architectures
Develop innovative technical solutions utilizing the full capabilities of GE Edison Works on development programs
Perform modeling and analysis of system safety aspects of product design
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 2 years' experience with Model Based Systems Engineering
This role is restricted to U.S. persons
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US security clearance
Desired Characteristics
Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using SysML in Cameo/NoMagic tool for the design and verification of systems
Experience with scripting in Python, JavaScript, or Groovy
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a dynamic environment
