For more information, visit www.gf.com.Summary of Role:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Semiconductor Product Application Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our semiconductor turnkey products through rigorous testing, analysis, and continuous improvement processes.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality governance through the introduction, qualification, and ramp of new products. Validate product compliance to defined requirements in the new product introduction (NPI) process. Act as quality stakeholder in the NPI stage gate reviews.

  • Drive root cause investigations to identify and resolve quality issues.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure product quality throughout the complete lifecycle.

  • Perform statistical analysis and utilize Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements.

  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, FMEAs, and inspection procedures.

  • Monitor and analyze product performance data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.

  • Contribute to the definition of deliverables of the new product introduction (NPI) phase by critical review of process performance and implementation of lessons learned.

  • Interface with customers to address quality concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Stay current with industry standards and best practices related to semiconductor quality assurance.

Other Responsibilities:

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality engineering or manufacturing role within the semiconductor industry.

  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies, preferably back-end processes (Assembly, Test).

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).

  • Experience with failure analysis techniques and reliability testing.

  • Comprehensive understanding of product lifecycle management and qualification processes.

  • Experience in defining and validating deliverables during the new product introduction (NPI) phase.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Certification in Six Sigma or similar quality improvement methodologies is a plus.

  • Experience with ISO 9001, IATF16949 and VDA quality management requirements.

  • Knowledge of automated test equipment (ATE) and semiconductor test methodologies.

  • Knowledge of chip bumping & packaging processes

Expected Salary Range

$77,000.00 - $142,000.00
