Primary Purpose of Position:
Distribution Center Specialists is responsible for accurate picking, packing, inspecting, transporting, loading and unloading of inbound, outbound and work-in-process products while sustaining an inventory accuracy of 99% or higher through timely cycle counting.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Follow established safety policies, including daily maintenance check sheets
Loading/Unloading shipments on and off various carriers
Put away, pick/pack, audit and ship product
Inspection of product and shipment to ensure all work instructions and procedures are adhered to
Complete necessary shipment documentation and entry for small package deliveries
Maintain good housekeeping in work area and adhere to 5S guidelines
Complete power equipment training and certification process and operate powered industrial trucks to transport and retrieve product
Any and all duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience/Knowledge/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations
Knowledge
Minimum 1 to 3 years of work experience
High School diploma or equivalent work experience
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Skills
Self-directed and able to safely work at a pace that meets or exceeds the departmental standards
Able to read, understand and follow picking/packing instructions
Able to perform basic math functions
Team-oriented, has excellent attendance, and professional communication skills
Pays attention to detail
Can work flexible hours with minimal notice
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior warehouse experience in shipping is strongly preferred
TECHNICAL ROLE COMPETENCIES:
- Basic computer skills and able to work with SAP.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to wear ALL safety equipment including a 5 point body harness and follow ALL OSHA requirements
Lift / push / pull up to 33lbs continuously and 50lbs occasionally
Standing and walking 95% of work time
Ability to work up to 12 hours a day
Able to work at height in excess of 30ft
Ability to twist, reach, and bend
Requires ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate objects
Position involves moderate risks or discomforts and special safety precautions
At least 20X40 corrected vision
Ability to pull up to 1,500 lbs. with a non-powered hand truck
Able to work outside during inclement weather
Able to negotiate narrow spaces, aisles and the interior of various cargo containers
