Responsibilities
This position will provide technical, hands-on engineering and project management for manufacturing equipment, automated production lines, and related equipment in the production of plastic closures
Manage CapEx projects and make recommendations regarding new technology and processes to improve quality, productivity and overall manufacturing efficiency
Responsible for manufacturing efficiency, quality, and scrap reduction
Utilize data to identify trends to guide continuous improvement activities
Support and troubleshoot multi-discipline machine technology to include mechanical, electrical, controls, PLC’s, vision systems, and drives
Provide process and mechanical training to current and new operators and technicians
Provides technical support in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
Accountable for personal adherence to all applicable Safety, GMP, Food Safety and Plant Policies
Occasional non-routine travel required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field with experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical / electrical background with excellent troubleshooting skills
Able to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Ability to draw in 2D and 3D software
Strong project management and organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to create and deliver training to a multi-disciplinary group of individuals
