Maintenance Helper -- Sandblaster Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is seeking reliable candidates for a Maintenance Helper -- Sandblaster position with a company in Erie, PA.
Position Overview:
The chosen candidate will train on 1st shift and then transition to 2nd shift permanently. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with heavy equipment, grinding tools, and power tools while performing essential maintenance and sandblasting duties.
Shift & Schedule:
- 1st Shift (Training Period): Monday -- Thursday: 6:00 AM -- 4:30 PM | Friday: 6:00 AM -- 12:00 PM
- 2nd Shift (Permanent): Monday -- Thursday: 10:00 AM -- 7:30 PM | Friday: 10:00 AM -- 2:00 PM
Pay Rate:
- Starting at $16/hour and up (Based on Experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Use various hand tools, grinding tools, and power tools for maintenance and repair work
- General shop maintenance, including cleaning, floor repairs, and painting
- Basic plumbing repairs (fixing sinks, leaks, unclogging drains and toilets)
- Carpentry tasks, including repairing doors, windows, and locks
- Sandblasting duties:
- Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other residues from metal surfaces
- Set up and operate sandblasting booths and equipment
- Load and unload blast cabinets
- Assist with painting or coating as needed
- Apply and remove non-skid materials when required
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous sandblasting experience preferred
- Manufacturing experience required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work in a hands-on environment
