SNOW COLLEGE Instructor of Education/Special Education in EPHRAIM, Utah

Description

The Department of Education and Family Studies invites qualified applicants to apply for an instructor faculty position at Snow College, starting Fall Semester 2024 (August 2024). This is a 1-year faculty teaching appointment at the Snow College Ephraim Campus, with the possibility of conversion to a full-time tenure-track Instructor or Assistant Professor faculty position the following year, pending a successful review or application.  Snow College was founded in 1888 and now includes two campuses, with its main campus located in Ephraim, Utah -- 120 miles south of Salt Lake City, or 75 miles south of Provo in the beautiful mountain-rimmed Sanpete Valley of central Utah. Our valley and mountains are famous for outdoor recreational activities such as snowmobiling and rock climbing, and for being the host of the annual "Scandinavian Days" cultural and historical festival. There are approximately 350 faculty and staff at Snow College, with 5100+ undergraduate students. Our students receive more exceptional personal attention and specialized help from Professors and Advisors than students at larger institutions. Snow College's mission -- to educate students, inspire them to love learning, and lead them to serve -- cannot be accomplished without outstanding faculty members. Snow College Professors are unencumbered by research, unlike our colleagues at 4-year institutions. This reality allows Snow College faculty members to focus on high-impact teaching and ensuring that students acquire the knowledge and skills they'll need to succeed academically and professionally.
