Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE
Under minimum supervision, this position is responsible for assisting with benefit management, analysis, administration, communication, compliance, benefit program coordination and project management for system-wide offered retirement benefits for 130,000 employees across the country. Works as a liaison with recordkeepers, consultants, and People Connections team (HR Technology). Develops retirement benefits communication materials. Create materials for the Contact Center regarding changes about which the representatives may receive questions.
ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for project coordination, such as leading CommonSpirit Health’s efforts for Form 5500 filings and plan audits.
Responsible for significant ongoing plan oversight, such as reviewing how our recordkeepers assign participants into plans or formulas within a plan to ensure that participants receive correct benefits.
Act as a liaison to People Connections team (HR Technology) and to recordkeepers to resolve elevated participant issues and provide clarification on implementing regulations and plan provisions.
Work with Manager/Director to develop, review and edit benefits communication materials for employees.
Support acquisitions and divestitures by serving as a benefits subject matter expert for implementation efforts and providing employee impact analysis to all parties.
Acts as a project manager as assigned; define and document complex business requirements and processes, lead review sessions with technical and business teams including all levels of management; may require monitoring or facilitating the work of others and/or that of cross functional team members.
Monitor vendor performance, service level agreements and reports issues; ensure invoice credits are provided if warranted.
Apply Continuous Improvement process methodology to collect and analyze metrics and improve processes; acts as the primary contact for recordkeeper’s day to day contacts.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent education and experience.
Required Licensure and Certifications
ASPPA credentials or coursework is a plus
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
Minimum of two years of experience in retirement benefits administration.
Must possess detailed benefit knowledge.. Experience can be focused on either defined contribution plans, defined benefit plans, or both. Must be able to work under minimal supervision.
Pay Range
$37.05 - $53.72 /hour
