Department Summary

The DISH Team is looking for a Director, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis to support the network buildout, operations, and commercial activities. The position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will cover all aspects of capital and expense management. The Director, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis will be adept, dependable, and well thought of as a manager and executive, capable of cultivating, demonstrating and encouraging a tone of high performance in the organization. A key part of this responsibility will be providing the financial advice and leadership needed to effectively support our organization.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

In addition to the above, some key responsibilities of the Director, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis include:

  • Build project budgets and periodic forecasts in support of the network build and operations.

  • Establish a framework for financial and strategic analyses to improve performance for all areas of the business.

  • Implement financial reports to monitor key metrics, interpret financial results, and seek out areas of concern and/or opportunity.

  • Provide direction for the design and maintenance of complex budget models and the development of monthly forecasts/budgets and supporting materials for the group.

  • Drive continuous improvement through process and technology.

  • Review business cases and supporting financial justifications for proposed significant expenditures.

  • Support the development teams by developing financial analyses for large-scale contracts.

  • Manage a team of 15 employees through delegation, training, hiring and performance appraisal activities.

  • This role will work with DISH employees ranging from the CEO to entry-level analysts, and as such must show strong oral and written communication skills.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and 10+ years of finance management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA or other advanced degree is strongly preferred.

  • Prior experience with a wireless carrier is desired.

  • Strong leadership and team development skills.

  • Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff.

  • Possess strong analytical, problem solving and quantitative analysis skills.

  • Strong business acumen, and financial/accounting knowledge.

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $185,000.00/Year - $225,000.00/Year

The base pay range provided is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies. Compensation is also based on the role's location and may change depending on the work location. Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
