Chemung Canal Trust Company WMG Retirement Plan Manager in Elmira, New York
This position is designed to manage a book of 401(k), 403(b), and SIMPLE IRA Plans and can include:
Build and maintain relationships with our Plan Sponsors.
Coordinate and deliver annual plan review meetings with Plan Sponsors. You may be asked to assist with presentations and meetings with plan participants.
Manage and prioritize workload towards quarterly and annual goals in a results-oriented team environment.
Consult with Plan Sponsors on the design of their retirement program and draft and maintain all related plan documents.
Communicate directly with clients to ensure annual census and other required plan information is received.
Preparation and submission of all government forms for assigned clients; includes working with external auditors for audited plans. Perform all required compliance tests for assigned clients. Provide calculations for annual employer contributions.
Work jointly with our Recordkeeping Team to ensure accuracy and resolution of any recordkeeping problems. Maintain a working knowledge of recordkeeping processes. Verify allocations and reports from the Recordkeeping team.
Stay abreast of legislative and regulatory changes that may affect the administration of assigned retirement plans. Notify clients of any changes that may be necessary to ensure continued compliance with applicable government regulations.
Preparation of all required participant notices and client communications.
Assist clients with requests for information, problems that may arise, reporting errors, special research on accounts, plan enrollment and investment education, etc.
Provide input to fee schedules for Retirement Services Group. Inform clients of current fee schedule. Ensure timely collection of fees from clients.
Conforms to General Performance Expectations as identified for all employees.
Qualifications/Requirements:
BS or BA in related field of study preferred, along with specialized training related to employee benefits plan administration.
3-5 years of experience in a related position preferred. Experience with Relius Administration and Pension Pro is a plus.
Must possess at least one certification from a recognized professional organization (i.e. QKA, QKC, QPA, CPC, CEBS, CRSP).
Thorough knowledge of all laws, regulations, and policies impacting retirement plans and IRA administration; working knowledge of investment terminology for presentation participants.
Proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills; analytical and organizational skills; computer skills, including MS Word & Excel; presentation skills; ability to read and interpret retirement plan documents & and trust statements.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Salary Range $60,000 to $92,020 annually
