Adecco US, Inc. Director of Sales in Elk Grove Village, Illinois

Our client, a leading player in the electrical steel industry, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Director to drive business growth and customer retention within our Cold-Rolled Steel Division. As a key member of the team, you will report directly to the VP of Sales and spearhead strategic initiatives to expand our market presence and increase revenue.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to acquire new business opportunities, both spot transactions and contractual agreements.

  • Drive revenue growth within targeted accounts through effective sales techniques and relationship management.

  • Close deals by building consensus, securing commitments, and providing exceptional customer service.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and maintain professional knowledge through ongoing education and participation in relevant events and associations.

  • Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and adjust positioning accordingly.

  • Forecast sales trends, communicate competitive landscapes, and strategize to maintain market leadership.

  • Strengthen relationships with existing customers to enhance sales position and ensure satisfaction.

  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve sales objectives.

  • Collaborate with Client Services Associate (Inside Sales) to meet customer requirements and address quality issues.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of successful experience in outside steel sales.

  • Experience in the electric motor, transformer, or power generation markets preferred.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with polished presentation abilities.

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in market intelligence gathering.

  • Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to delivering exceptional service.

  • Travel 50-75%

Incentives:

  • Competitive annual base salary: $130K - $160K/yr. (+ commission)

Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year
