Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to plan and execute customer service needs. You will contact customers to gather necessary information, determine required tools, instruments, and parts, and arrange travel needs. You will meet with customer personnel to diagnose and resolve equipment issues involving mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. In this role, you will perform diagnostic tests, troubleshoot, replace defective parts, reprogram control systems, and ensure equipment calibration and maintenance meet standards.
Responsibilities
Plan assigned customer service needs and arrange travel requirements.
Meet with customer personnel to determine equipment problems and perform diagnostic tests.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, taking corrective actions such as replacing defective parts and reprogramming control systems.
Provide protocol services and perform equipment qualification procedures at both the home office and customer sites.
Calibrate equipment according to customer schedules and adjust equipment to meet standards.
Provide on-site operation, maintenance, and preventive maintenance services.
Make courtesy calls to customer sites as available.
Respond to customer calls regarding equipment problems and recommend corrective actions.
Run lab and factory acceptance tests, set up equipment, run products, and check specifications.
Conduct on-site seminars for equipment operation and process optimization.
Prepare service and expense records as required.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Field service experience
Electromechanical assembly proficiency
Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
Proficiency with Digital Multimeters, temperature probes, and pressure gauges
Familiarity with high voltage devices
Strong troubleshooting skills
Mechanical and installation expertise
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
Pay: $65K to $90K/year. Since this is an hourly position, it would be $31.25 - $43.26/hr. There is a lot of OT that can be made.Travel: 50 to 80% - There are times they may be out 9-12 weeks at a time.
