Robert Half Staff Accountant in El Segundo, California

Description We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support our team in the advertising industry, functioning remotely from El Segundo, California. The Staff Accountant will primarily focus on Accounts Receivable (AR), with supplementary duties in Accounts Payable (AP). This position will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and subsequently to the Assistant Controller and Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Handle high-volume AR transactions.

• Assist with AP tasks in order to support the team.

• Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities.

• Utilize NetSuite for all accounting processes.

• Leverage intermediate Excel skills for data management and analysis.

• Provide cross-training and support to team members as necessary.

• Work independently and adapt to different management styles.

• Communicate effectively and take and apply feedback effectively.

• Maintain a strong cultural fit with the team.

• Comfortably work under a detail-oriented and direct Assistant Controller. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations

• Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to manage and maintain General Ledger

• Skilled in creating and managing Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using NetSuite as a financial management software

• Experience in utilizing Oracle for financial data management

• Knowledge of QuickBooks for accounting tasks

• Familiarity with SAP financial software for accounting purposes
