Computer Scientist
ATEC is looking for a Computer Scientist to support the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA's) Target Generation Facility (TGF).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Support system development, testing
Review and comment on system engineering documents, system requirement documents, system testing documents
Attend system design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and any other meetings as requested to support program and team.
Possess a technical understanding of systems, databases, networking, computing environments, and virtualization.
Develop and manage system engineering artifacts, system requirements artifacts, system testing artifacts, and required product baseline artifacts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Required:
Able to support software applications in Linux environment
Able to troubleshoot networking, hardware, and Operating System (OS) issues
Experience in performing system testing including issue documentation, troubleshooting, test procedure creation, and test report generation
Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Knowledge of Scripting languages
Proficient technical writing and oral communication skills
EDUCATION/YEARS of EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a Bachelor's degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of math, statistics, and computer science.
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US
Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation
Has been living in the US for at least the past 3 years

PAY RANGE:
$50,000 - $85,000*
- based on years of experience
