Tradition Capital Bank Edina, MN Description:Job Purpose: The Junior Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of essential accounting duties in support of the team. Some of those duties include inputting invoices to be paid, performing account reconciliations, and researching account activity which all contributes to the Bank's financial statements. Primary Accountabilities: * Accounts Payable: Responsible for timely and accurate processing of all the Bank's payments and expenditures using Concur Software and maintaining historical records. May assist the team in resolving discrepancies, documentation, preparing analysis of accounts, and produce monthly reports. Maintains an updated list of the bank's vendors, and their related company information. Assembles and reports 1099 activity at the end of the year. * Reconciliations: Maintains records and reconciles accounts using Fiserv Prologue, Fiserv Navigator, Fiserv Director, Excel, and Adobe. Responsible for daily, monthly, and quarterly account reconciliations. Identifies, investigates, and resolves any reconciliation discrepancies by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. Performs reconciliation of the balance sheet and income statement in a timely manner in order to close out the Bank's financial statements. * Collaboration: Develops relationships within and across teams to ensure accurate and timely approval and payment processing for invoices. Identifies and collaboratively acts on opportunities to improve the Bank's payment process to deliver a defect free, timely and caring experience. Education & Experience: A Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance from a college or university and 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or related position; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and more with assistance.
