VOANS is seeking a Human Resources Intern to work closely with the HR team and Senior Director of Human Resources at the Eden Prairie, Minnesota Office. The selected candidate will assist the HR team in various administrative tasks and projects, gaining valuable exposure to HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, and compliance. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources. The ideal candidate must excel in written and verbal communications, be a self-starter, work well within a team as well as being able to work independently and manage multiple assignments at a time. This position is full-time (between 30 - 40 hours per week) and is completely On-Site Must be willing to travel to other locations, including Anoka, Rochester and Minnetonka, as needed The internship is unpaid, however, a stipend is provided Primary Responsibilities: * Assist with HR administrative tasks, including document preparation, data entry and filing * Help facilitate the onboarding and offboarding process by preparing necessary documentation and coordinating logistics * Participate in HR team meetings, contributing ideas, collaborating on projects and supporting additional tasks as needed Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Strong verbal skills pertaining to phone interviews and candidate sourcing * Strong written and organizational skills pertaining to drafting documents, team and organizational correspondence and professional feedback (e.g. screen notes) * Strong administration skills pertaining to time and project management * Candidates must have the ability to work independently and within a team environment * Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite Skills * Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform effectively under pressure Qualifications: Physical Capabilities: * Lifting: Requires lifting materials up to 10 lbs. * Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods Working Conditions: * The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an intern encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
