Assistant Maintenance Superintendent (Multiple Positions) Port Orchard, WA & Aberdeen, WA -- Olympic Region $7,084 -- $9,085 Monthly Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking two Assistant Maintenance Superintendents to lead the Olympic Region's (OR) Maintenance Area 2, covering Jefferson, Kitsap, and Mason Counties, and Area 4, covering all of Grays Harbor County and portions of Thurston, Mason, and Jefferson Counties. This role supports and contributes to WSDOT's mission and the purpose of the Highway Maintenance Program by maintaining and preserving the highway system assets assigned to the OR's assigned area, achieving policy objectives, administering procedures, establishing standards and controls, developing expertise, measuring performance, and ensuring consistency in relation to statewide standards. The Assistant Superintendent performs work at a high level of discretion and independent judgement and is accountable for schedule, budget, quality of work, safety, and stewardship of work unit employees. This position represents WSDOT in discussions and negotiations with residents, state representatives, federal agencies, resource agencies, and contractors concerning coordination of highway maintenance programs and projects throughout the assigned Counties.
