Position Summary

Salary- low $52,732.91- avg $57,499.99 - high $62,752.83 - annually, depending on experience. This position will create and process records in systems including Planon, KFS and Unifier. Tasks include account, budget and schedule updates, disbursement vouchers, procurement content review, requisitions, invoices/payment applications, work orders, procurement card transactions, service requests, preliminary cost assessment, project initiation, project closeout, maintain insurance and bond records, bidding documents, e-bidding and change orders.

The ideal candidate will assist with vendor outreach such as meet and greets/lunch and learns. Will create, update and run reports for department and customers, troubleshoot technology issues for various applications, and inform staff on policies and procedures. Will also serve as departmental travel liaison, processing conference requests and travel expenses for the team as needed.

Additional duties may include direct supervision, training and mentoring to student employees, update and document processes in Promapp, lead Facility Coordinator Work Group, serve as point person for PDC customer surveys sent out via Qualtrics. May create, edit, reconcile and close accounts, serve as fiscal officer delegate, provide payment status updates, and address account issues, utilize and support the team in the use of Planon, Unifier, KFS, Promapp, Meridian, and other IPF applications. Connect with people to understand more about existing problems and ways to offer sufficient support, meet deadlines and responsibilities within MSU and peer organizations

In conjunction with the Department Business Office Manager, the selected candidate may post student positions in Handshake as well as process hiring documentation in SAP.

Regular attendance is required to meet business and customer needs. Hybrid position is possible after a successful probationary period, or at supervisor's discretion:hybrid/partial remote schedule (up to 2 days remote, 3 days in office)

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired through the first two or three years of college, such as an Associate’s degree in a business-related field or in a field related to the area of employment; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in performing tasks related to the area of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Associates Degree in construction-related discipline, business, engineering, or similar.

Knowledge of campus construction project and initiatives. A desire to support and assist a very busy team; proactively able to recognize and act on tasks that need to be done before being asked to do so. An independent self-starter that prefers working in a fast paced team environment and is consistently able to adjust priorities as needed.

A creative and innovative lifelong learner with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population; able to problem solve within a collaborative team environment; ability to understand different perspectives while utilizing expert knowledge of the technical operations of the job.
