ABOUT YOU

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you are a strategic and collaborative leader with deep technical expertise who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. You excel at managing multiple large-scale infrastructure projects with precision, balancing safety, quality, schedule, and stakeholder needs. You stay curious, embrace innovation, and bring a continuous improvement mindset to everything you do. With strong communication and leadership skills, you build trust, mentor others, and foster inclusive, transparent relationships. You care about long-term impact—on operations, communities, and customer experience—and take pride in delivering thoughtful, high-quality solutions.

What you will do:

• Support the development of capital projects by identifying opportunities, preparing technical data and estimates, securing approvals, and briefing leadership.

• Lead the consultant selection and delivery process, from writing RFQs/RFPs to evaluating proposals and negotiating contracts.

• Guide design and construction phases to ensure projects meet scope, budget, and quality goals, while managing BIM/VDC efforts and resolving issues as they arise.

• Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to align on project goals, minimize operational impacts, and engage stakeholders throughout planning and implementation.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering and over 10 years of experience, including at least 6 years managing capital projects over $5 million.

• Expertise in construction management and public agency projects, with knowledge of Massachusetts public bidding processes and laws.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Primavera, a valid driver’s license, and a strong grasp of budgeting principles.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and personal management skills to lead complex, high-impact projects.
