WINTERGARDEN WOMENS SHELTER INC Outreach Specialist - Val Verde in EAGLE PASS, Texas
Essential Duties: Major Responsibilities: ? Implement outreach and mobile advocacy services schedule. ? Conduct outreach in underserved areas of Val Verde County. ? Provide Mobile Advocacy Services from designated safe spaces on work schedule. ? Develop and conduct podcast sessions and social media releases ? Maintain records regarding delivery of service, number of attendees, hours of service, etc. ? Ensure distribution of program materials (e.g., Brochures, literature, flyers, etc.) ? Make internal referrals to LPC and other staff as necessary. ? Will assist and follow through with additional duties as assigned by Executive Director and Programs Director
Sexual Assault Victim's Advocacy ? Make available educational materials about WWS services, the dynamics of sexual assault and other related issues. ? Collaborate with local social services organizations to assist clients in obtaining medical, legal, mental health, and other services specific to the trauma experienced by sexual assault victims. ? Direct Victim's Services; provides services specific to the needs of sexual assault victims including Information and Referral, Crisis Intervention, Assistance with Crime Victims Compensation Application and SAVNS.
? Provide hospital accompaniment as requested. ? Provide Law Enforcement Accompaniment as requested. ? Facilitate victim services and work with local hospitals ? Facilitate victim services and work with behavioral clinics.
Working Conditions ? Travel within the Wintergarden area (Dimmit, Zavala, Maverick, LaSalle and Val Verde), may require out of area travel. ? Safe working environment ? Harassment-free environment ?
