Here’s the Gist:

As a member of the Global Materials Operations Equipment team, the person in this role will be responsible for performing equipment startup, modifications, upgrades, troubleshooting and maintenance on production and R&D systems. This role will interact directly with process engineering and other groups to meet department and Wolfspeed goals. Successful candidates will have a strong team mentality and strong communication skills. Candidates working in this area must exhibit and mandate safe working practices. This role will also be responsible for a diverse mixture of activities with a strong emphasis on hands-on mechanical assembly, high vacuum systems, and light electrical work.  Preferred experience within the Semiconductor field with equipment knowledge on Applied Materials, Milara, Screen, and Disco equipment tools.

Both day and night shift opportunities are available.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Utilize troubleshooting skills to solve complex equipment mechanical, electrical and pneumatic problems

  • Perform preventative and routine equipment maintenance tasks (i.e. cleaning, calibration, or routine service)

  • Utilize the computerized maintenance management systems for inventory control and work scheduling

  • Handle gases and chemicals to replenish system resources.

  • Provide communication to all support team members by following proper escalation procedures

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • Associates degree in EE or military equivalent

  • Manufacturing experience, preferably within the semiconductor industry

  • Good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to work 12 hours shifts in a fast-paced environment

  • A team player mentality

  • Flexibility in your work schedule and the ability to work overtime on short notice

This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
