Boehringer Ingelheim Territory Manager Companion Animals - Durban in Durban, South Africa

We are hiring a Territory Manager in Animal Health - Companion Animals Business in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for achievement of sales targets in the region in line with company business objectives and company ethic principles. The individual will build and grow relationships and sales with the assigned customers in the specified territory. Clients include veterinary clinics and pet retail.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Deliver sales targets and product market shares in line with marketing and commercial plan.

  • Prepare and conduct the required number of visits by customer segment and report accordingly.

  • Detail and sell BI AH products in line with the agreed positioning.

  • Identify further customer needs based on providing added value.

  • Increasing sales in the territory and growing market share.

  • Provide market intelligence on pricing, positioning and competitive activity to identify critical issues and provide related market/customer analysis.

  • Monitor market development and provide information to the Sales Management, Marketing and Customer Experience team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Marketing or Commercial Degree / Higher diploma in Veterinary Nursing / Degree in Veterinary Science

  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Solution driven, resilient and able to adapt to a changing environment.

  • Demonstrate accountability for decisions and actions.

  • Self-starter, able to work independently and identify market opportunities.
