Key Account Manager

This position works out of our UAE location in Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Division

The Key account Manager will be responsible for promoting ARDx products and services to healthcare providers, working as trusted advisor for Abbott’s customers and facilitates their buying decisions through providing Diagnostic solutions that meet their needs and expectations while maintaining the company’s image/standards according to the company policies and professional code ethics.

What You'll Do:

  • Full responsibility for assigned sales quota including forecasting and target performance achievement.

  • Manage and drive the development of their territory through the promotion of new and existing products, with all relevant marketing activities such as product presentations and competitor blunting information.

  • Implementation of the Go to Market strategy aligned with the regional and global approach appropriately to the country specific objectives.

  • Build, maintain and expand strong partnerships with target accounts via consultative selling approach to KOLs.

  • Cooperate closely with distributor sales teams to develop and execute effective local sales strategies by customer segment.

  • Collect and maintain up-to-date market intelligence (competition, prices, tenders) and customer related feedback.

  • Accurate and reliable demand planning and forecasting based on customer/distributor commitments.

  • Implements territory coverage plan (No. of sales call & Visit frequency)

  • Delivers customer-centric activities in coordination with direct manger.

  • Organizes audio-visual activities for healthcare providers as per business need in coordination with direct manager.

  • Maintains records system; daily reports, customer profile & marketing feedback reports.

  • Responsible for keeping up-to-date with the latest clinical data supplied by the company, and interpreting, presenting and discussing this data with health professionals.

  • Monitors competitor’s sales and marketing activities and reporting all report to direct manager.

  • Responsible for ongoing prospecting for new business opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of Commercial experience, in which 2 years in diagnostics field/POCT is an advantage.

  • Familiarity of the healthcare industry and private healthcare providers for the given territory. UAE market knowledge is a must.

  • University Degree in Life Sciences or related field. Additional studies in Business a plus.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Good Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Experience in SFE, CRM systems
