We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead and manage our electrical engineering department. This role involves providing guidance and support to a team of electrical designers, overseeing the design and development of electrical systems for equipment upgrades at industrial manufacturing facilities, and ensuring all electrical designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Manage and provide guidance to a team of electrical designers.
Oversee the design and development of electrical systems for equipment upgrades at industrial manufacturing facilities.
Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Review and approve electrical design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
Conduct site visits to assess project progress and resolve any design-related issues.
Provide technical expertise and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Manage department budgets, resources, and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve department performance.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license with an NCEES Record
10-15 years of experience in electrical engineering
Proven leadership experience
Strong expertise in electrical design
Experience with Post transformer pre controls system and AutoCAD
Proficiency in control systems
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in managing budgets, resources, and schedules
Ability to conduct site visits and assess project progress
Strong communication and coordination skills
Work Environment
This position primarily involves working in the office, with the possibility of working from Dothan or Mobile. The projects are largely on outdoor manufacturing sites including new builds, shutdowns, and upgrades to existing equipment. Any overtime hours will be accompanied by overtime pay.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
