Your Role:
As our Accounting Assistant, you'll play an integral role in supporting the financial health of our company. You'll assist the Controller in key tasks, including accounts receivable, owner billing, bank reconciliations, and more. You'll also be cross-trained in other vital functions, such as payroll and accounts payable, giving you valuable exposure to all aspects of accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Primary Duties:
- Process Monthly AIA Contract Billing to Owners
- Handle various Accounts Receivable Invoicing
- Perform Remote Deposits and Cash Receipt Posting
- Follow up on Un-cashed Checks and track A/R Aging
- Bank Reconciliation and Cash Management Adjustments
- Upload Weekly Positive Pay and assist with job/contract setups
- Manage Business Privilege Tax Returns, Unclaimed Property Reporting, and Builders Risk Reporting
- Future Growth Responsibilities:
- Learn Payroll Processing and Accounts Payable as a backup
- Gain experience with Quarterly Payroll Taxes and Change Order Management
- Assist the Controller in key functions as needed
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience preferred, but a strong desire to learn is just as important!
- Education: Associate's degree or completion of a certificate program in accounting is a plus, but not required.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), strong math, communication, and organizational skills.
- Personality: We're looking for a self-starter who thrives in both independent and team environments. A strong attention to detail and initiative are key!
