Ford Motor Company RapidResponse Software Engineer in Des Moines, Iowa

Ford was the first automotive OEM to widely deploy the RapidResponse product from Kinaxis and continues to expand the usage of the product within the company. As a RapidResponse Software Engineer, you’ll design, develop, and support business solutions in RapidResponse. You'll work on an agile product team using a collaborative approach to deliver breakthrough solutions for the company.

What you’ll be able to do:

  • Develop new functional solutions using RapidResponse products.

  • Participate in design sessions with the team to determine the best technical approach

  • Work with product designers and business teams to specify and refine solutions.

  • Quality testing of other developer’s functionality using agile testing techniques.

  • Manage and operate integrations to data sources to ensure high reliability and data accuracy.

  • Operate within an agile process and execute agile techniques.

  • Develop new functional solutions using RapidResponse product.

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in RapidResponse development

  • 2+ years of software testing experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in Agile practices (SAFE, Scrum, Kanban, TDD, etc.)

Our preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Strong code debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-resolution skills.

  • Highly effective in working with product managers, product owners, and cross-functional users of product teams.

  • Proven tackling and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and document the root cause of issues and optimally communicate possible resolutions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills by collaborating with multi-functional teams to develop comprehensive product test plans, solve issues, etc., and autonomously to achieve business outcomes.

  • Collaborative, positive demeanor, and self-motivated

  • Motivated to drive tasks to completion and take ownership of projects.
