We are seeking a Phased Array Antenna System Engineer to define and maintain requirements for the Antenna sub-system and its units. The successful candidate will manage requirements by tracing and justifying parent and child requirements, assist in developing design architecture and performance budgets at the sub-system level, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to achieve a design architecture that meets mission requirements. Additionally, the candidate will create and maintain verification matrices and detailed test requirements, develop and track build matrices for all product development hardware, and create the Assembly, Integration, and Test Plan to support test activities from planning to production. The role also involves reviewing test data at unit and system levels, evaluating non-compliances, and supporting automated data post-processing/management.
Responsibilities
Define and maintain requirements for the Antenna sub-system and its units.
Manage requirements by tracing and justifying parent and child requirements.
Assist in developing design architecture and performance budgets at the sub-system level.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to achieve a design architecture that meets mission requirements.
Create and maintain verification matrices and detailed test requirements.
Develop and track build matrices for all product development hardware.
Create the Assembly, Integration, and Test Plan and support test activities from planning to production.
Review test data at unit and system levels, evaluate non-compliances, and support automated data post-processing/management.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
At least 5 years of experience.
Previous experience with active antenna system designs, beam forming, and antenna parameters.
Experience with antenna testing and facilities associated with radiated tests.
Experience in concepts of space and/or ground segment design antenna applications, specification, and integration methodologies.
Knowledge in Matlab & Simulink and other simulation tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS/Windchill/Jama.
Previous experience in space programs.
Experience creating or using models and/or simulation software.
Demonstrated capability to efficiently work with little to no supervision.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, knowledge of French will be considered favorably.
Work Environment
This is a remote opportunity with travel once a quarter for 3-5 days. It is an exciting chance to work for an international space company with over 400 successful missions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $100.00/hr.
