U.S. Mint Industrial Equipment Maintenance Supervisor in Denver, Colorado

Summary This position is located at US Mint,Denver-MANUFACTURING DEPARTMENT/Plant Manager CO/Plant Engineering Division CO. As an Industrial Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, you will serve as the Chief of the Industrial Maintenance Branch (IEM) that includes the three Industrial Equipment Sections, Machinery Support Branch, and the Facility Support Section, in the Plant Engineering Division; Plant Manager; Denver; Manufacturing Department; United States Mint. Responsibilities As an Industrial Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, you will: Be responsible for the overall supervision, management, technical direction, and coordination of the interdisciplinary, multi-shift Plant Engineering Division Industrial Equipment Maintenance (IEM) workforce. Be responsible for the development and implementation of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) for all production and facility equipment to ensure that equipment is available for production/function when needed. Determine and forecast resource requirements, materials, and number of subordinates and the types of skills to accomplish short and long-range work schedules and specific projects. Requirements Conditions of Employment All employees must wear face masks while on MINT property when required by CDC and Federal guidelines. A one-year probationary period may be required. A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. For the GS-13: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade or equivalent in either public or private sectors, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: - Supervising or leading other supervisors in a multi-shift industrial maintenance organization; AND - Coordinating the work of employees working in multiple trades: AND - Organizing, assigning and directing work assignments; AND - Adjusting schedules to changing priorities to meet objectives; AND - Evaluating work performance; AND - Managing budget execution; AND - Determining and meeting staffing/training needs. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
